Bahia Mar, mixed-use space, to transform waterfront area with four new towers and mega yacht marina

Tate Capital, Rok Enterprises Inc., and Related Group have formed a joint venture to develop the Bahia Mar mixed-use complex in Fort Lauderdale.

Bahia Mar, mixed-use space, to transform waterfront area with four new towers and mega yacht marina

The project aims to transform an underutilized waterfront area into a vibrant destination, with a focus on accommodating the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The reimagined Bahia Mar will include high-end residential and hospitality units, commercial and entertainment spaces, a luxurious branded hotel and resort, and 350 residential units across four towers. The complex will also feature a mega yacht marina, commercial space, and amenities such as a waterfront boardwalk and public greenspace. The site plan will include dedicated space for the boat show, including climate-controlled areas, tent space, and food and beverage options. The joint venture aims to create a landmark development that benefits both the city and its residents.

Native Realty has successfully leased five spaces in Marina Village, the waterfront food hall and entertainment venue at Fort Lauderdale's Bahia Mar resort. The new food-and-beverage concepts are set to open in the fourth quarter of 2023. The hand-picked and curated concepts aim to provide an elevated dining experience for locals. The tenants include Blue Steel Pizza, Burgers and Shakes, Fresh Garden Bowls, Quore Gelato, and Yip, offering a variety of culinary options. The Marina Village features seating and lounge areas for patrons, along with a floating ferry with additional seating and a DJ booth. Over 30 restaurant operators vied for the available kiosks in Marina Village, and the selection process aimed to create an array of interesting and diverse food genres. The Bahia Mar redevelopment, a $1 billion project, has recently received final approvals from the Fort Lauderdale City Commission.
